Professional Tennis Exhibition/Presentation

Dear PPRSC Members, 

 

We are excited to invite you and your friends to a unique event at Providence Plantation Racquet and Swim Club.  Please join us on the evening of Monday, October 23rd at 6 PM for a Professional Tennis Exhibition/Presentation featuring Thai Kwiatkowski, a Charlotte native, recent University of Virginia graduate, the 2017 Men’s NCAA Champion and main draw player at this year’s US Open.  

 

We are excited to have Thai training at our club and thank him for sharing his time on the 23rd.  We are also fortunate to have brief presentations from Dr. Desaree Festa, one of the top sports psychologist in the South, on maximizing your mental game followed by Liz Belser on tennis specific fitness for performance and injury free play.   Tennis Director, Bill Belser has coached Thai since he was 13 years old and will speak on the topic of playing to your strengths. 

 

This event is open to all members and guests.  We hope everyone will join us and bring a friend.  

 

6:00PM  Thai will warm up with local juniors and college players

6:15-6:35  Bill Belser, PPRSC Tennis Director, ATP Tour and USPTA Elite High Performance Coach, will give a presentation on maximizing a player’s strengths and helping them reach their potential

6:35 – 7:15  Thai will play a short set of singles and a short set of doubles

7:15 – 7:35  Liz Belser presents on the importance of tennis specific fitness from a holistic approach

7:35 – 7:55  Dr. Desaree Festa presents on the mental game and its importance to reaching your potential, as well as embracing and enjoying competition

7:55 – 8:15 Questions and answers for Thai and all the presenters
